Scientific Publications (Maikhuri et al)
The research group of R.K.Maikhuri, S. Nautiyal, K.S. Rao, K.G. Saxena, et al. have studied conservation and socio-economic development issues in the NDBR since 1992. They have conducted in-depth scientific, participatory and action research in the buffer zone villages of NDBR using diverse currencies such as ecological, social and economic to analyse different production systems and natural resource collection/consumption patterns. This has in turn formed the basis for designing appropriate strategies and identifying priority interventions for management of NDBR on one side and conflict resolution on the others.
